What this is
DwellDue helps you look after your home. It builds a maintenance plan from public records about your property and what you tell us, then explains what is worth doing and why. It is early access, it is free, and it is still being built.
By using it, you agree to what is written here.
This is guidance, not an inspection
Everything here is general home-care education. Nobody has visited your house. We have not seen your roof, your wiring, or your foundation. Our recommendations come from public records, your answers, and a written knowledge base, and any of those can be wrong or out of date.
Do not treat this as a substitute for a professional. A licensed inspector, electrician, plumber, roofer or structural engineer can see what we cannot. When something looks structural, electrical, gas related, or simply beyond you, call one. We say so throughout the product and we mean it.
Cost figures are typical United States ranges. What you are quoted will differ.
Safety
Home maintenance involves ladders, electricity, gas, water and sharp tools. You are responsible for deciding whether a task is safe for you to attempt, and for stopping when it is not. If you smell gas, leave and call your utility from outside. If in doubt about anything electrical, do not touch it.
Safety recalls
We match the brand, and where we have it the model, of your equipment against published recall notices. A match means the recall is worth reading, not that your specific unit is affected. Only the manufacturer can confirm that from your serial number. We may also miss recalls entirely, so this is a helpful extra rather than a guarantee.
Your content
What you record stays yours. You give us permission to store it and use it to run the product for you, and nothing else. We do not claim ownership of your notes, photos or history.
Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, and do not use the assistant to attempt anything illegal or harmful.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anyone you invite into your household, who can see and change that home's records.
It is free, and it is early
There is no charge today. If that changes we will tell you before it affects you, and you will never be billed without agreeing first.
Being early means features will change, data may occasionally be wrong, and the service may be interrupted. We may suspend or end an account that is being used abusively.
No warranty, and limits on liability
The product is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will be accurate, available, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage to property, costs of repairs, injuries, or other losses arising from your use of it or from anything you chose to do or not do based on it. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as local law permits.
Ending it
You can stop at any time and delete your data from Settings. We can end access if these terms are broken.
